Williamsburg Arts Council
Nonprofit Serving the Williamsburg Arts Community
Welcome!
Members of the Williamsburg Arts Council volunteer to support the great landscape of arts in the greater Williamsburg community. We provide artistic and educational opportunities throughout the year.
100% of funds raised from membership dues, art events, and direct contributions go to scholarships and support of the Williamsburg arts scene. Our annual scholarship is awarded in the spring to promising local art students interested in furthering their education in the arts. To date we have awarded $20,000 in arts scholarships.

Featured Artist: Myra Polsky
MYRA POLSKY’S fifty-five-year career in the Arts has focused on landscape and still life paintings using strong colors that are layered and textured with a dry brush method of application. The balance between freedom and control is the goal Myra achieves by introducing unexpected and traditional color combinations and by painting semi-abstract forms. Her paintings adhere to the strict academic tradition of Myra’s early work for a BFA degree at Boston University, and the more contemporary approach at George Washington University and the Corcoran School of Art where she earned a Master of Fine Arts. Myra’s work has won various awards in juried competitions in Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Contact: mpolsky@cox.net
