Rousseau Phillips: WAC 2025 Scholarship Winner

Jul 17, 2025

The Williamsburg Arts Council 2025 Scholarship winner, Rousseau Phillips, is a member of Lafayette High School’s National Art Honor Society. She has assisted with painting murals at her school and has worked professionally and as a volunteer in the arts. She will be continuing her art education at the well-respected Savannah College of Art and Design where she will be studying animation. For Rosseau “art provides a method of connecting with other people. It has its own language that can be universally understood. Art provides an escape from the world and a way to make the world a better place.”
